Zaha Hadid’s first NYC project, a condominium complex called 520 West 28th, is stunning. Here are the photos of its penthouse to prove it.

It’s not a Zaha Hadid project without the firm’s signature curvilinear silhouettes and sculptural staircases.
This penthouse occupies the top three floors of the 11-storey condominium. It is listed for $50 million, making it the most expensive of the 39 condos inside the block. And look at that view of the famous High Line Park!
Floor-to-ceiling windows bath the unit in natural sunlight. Zaha Hadid worked with Boffi to design this kitchen.
On the first two levels of the penthouse is the kitchen, open-space lounging area, dining room, a library, and five bedrooms — including this gorgeous, earthy-toned sanctuary.
Honestly, we don’t know how anyone can concentrate on work with that view. Kudos to Zaha Hadid who designed this in collaboration with partner Patrik Schumacher, who took over as director of Zaha Hadid Architects after her death in 2016. See the terrace in the next few photos!
The late Zaha Hadid designed this staircase herself. It leads to the third floor, where the rooftop patio is.
The penthouse comes with 2,552sqf of private outdoor space, including this terrace which features an outdoor kitchen, dining area and sunbathing beds. We told you it was stunning, right?
