When you’re an art lover, it’s only natural that you want your home to be designed around your collection – and that’s what this homeowner asked for when he approached Swift Interior to design and renovate his 289sqm penthouse apartment in Sentosa Cove. The homeowner, who works in the food and beverage industry, asked for a monochrome palette with architectural elements.
AT A GLANCE
Home: Penthouse apartment at Sentosa Cove
Size: 289 sqm
Who lives here: A homeowner and their teenage child
ID: Swift Interior
In the living room, you’ll find a generous feature wall with Hong Kong-imported tiles that resemble raw cement screed. This is the backdrop to the homeowner’s projector.
The homeowner also wanted to fit in his baby grand piano, which Swift Interior situated next to the staircase with some spatial planning. They also integrated mood lighting into the stairs themselves, which are both beautiful and functional.
In the bedroom, the same large-format textural tiles are offset by a dark wood floor and black velvet headboard for a touch of minimalist luxe.
A large balcony can be accessed from both the bedroom and living room, providing a space for alfresco dining.
Since the homeowner loves art, Swift Interior incorporated a hallway that gave him space to display one of his many art collections. They kept to clean lines and a black-and-white palette to let the art stand out.
