Designed by Renaissance Planners & Designers, this semi-detached property is home to a couple and their two children.
The living and dining rooms have been designed as one large interconnected area. The rectilinear, L-shaped sofa, and the customised circular coffee table fabricated from San Cristobal Oro marble from Spain set upon black powder-coated metal legs, create an interesting duality.
The randomness of the display shelves, and the glimpses of the objects reflected against its tinted mirror backing, make for visual interest within the living space.
The bespoke glass pendants above the dining area are the result of much experimentation by interior design director Kelvin Bing, who used balloons arranged at different heights and distances to achieve the ideal composition.
Kitchen island with storage
Despite the kitchen’s long, narrow layout, the team managed to incorporate a kitchen island that provides extra storage, in addition to the built-in cabinets.
It also serves as an informal dining area for the kids and provides additional seating when hosting larger groups.

Maximising floor space
The attic bar-cum-kitchenette has a pull-out table to help maximise floor space.
The bar display is a stunning piece of modern contemporary design that effortlessly marries form and function. It features a minimalist structure with clean, straight lines and a monochromatic color scheme.
The lighting in the bar display is carefully designed to accentuate the bottles and glassware. LED strip lights hidden beneath the shelves or within the frame of the bar cast a warm, inviting glow, adding a touch of drama and enhancing the visual appeal.

Walk-in closet with mirrors
The walk-in closet is a relaxing space that resembles a hall of mirrors. A bench seat doubles as storage space.
Luxurious and visually stunning, the space was designed to elevate the experience of getting dressed.
As you step into this glamorous dressing area, you find yourself surrounded by a mesmerizing play of reflections and sleek design elements.

White and timber bookshelves
As the family has an extensive book collection, Renaissance Planners & Designers worked on giving their prized tomes pride of place on a customised bookcase in the study.
The bookcase’s simple lattice grid is aesthetically pleasing yet functional. Its white shelves extend outwards in alignment with the adjacent white walls, while the timber strip flooring appears to continue vertically up the back of the shelves; the backing is made of wood.
This seamless integration of built-in and spatial elements brings the look together.
A handcrafted antique Chinese study table and chair – they were imported from China after six months of sourcing – are placed in the centre of the room facing the shelves, evoking a sense of dialogue in the space.

White marble bathroom
The shadow cast by a custom-designed pendant light against the white marble bathroom wall creates an interesting focal point.
The flooring and walls are adorned with large, veined marble tiles in shades of white or soft gray. These tiles exude a sense of opulence and provide a clean, neutral backdrop that sets the stage for the rest of the bathroom’s design elements.
Opposite the sink, large frameless mirrors extend from wall to wall, reflecting the marble tiles and maximizing the sense of space and light.
