The homeowner of this 2,600 sq ft (241 sqm) five-bedroom condominium near Lower Peirce Reservoir didn’t want “something too modern, white and clean, but something a bit cosier.”
A hint of resort and a dose of Chinese decor – with natural materials and dark wood stains featuring heavily – was DistinctIdentity designer Keith Kum’s solution.
Skylight Ceiling Design
The homeowner had a wood lattice screen embedded into the false ceiling and illuminated for dramatic effect.

Outdoor Decking
Originally a garden-like space planted with cow grass, Kristie thought it was heavy-maintenance and had the green replaced with decking.
The resort-like turquoise-and-white outdoor furnishings here set the space apart from the rest of the apartment.
