If you’re a fan of the popular and trusty Kitchenaid stand mixer, there’s now a more compact model. Kitchenaid’s new Artisan Mini stand mixer is 20 per cent smaller with a 3.3-litre capacity, and 25 per cent lighter, yet just as powerful as other tilt-head stand mixers from the brand. This is perfect for homes with smaller kitchen spaces as it works as an all-in-one machine – from a mixer with a flat beater, wire whip and dough hook, to pasta roller and cutter set, food processor, grinder, and more – with 12 additional attachments that can be bought separately.
KITCHENAID’S NEW ARTISAN MINI STAND MIXER COMES IN FOUR COLOURS – HONEY DEW, GUAVA GLAZE, HOT SAUCE AND MATTE BLACK – WITH A FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY, AND RETAILS FOR $649 AT MAYER SHOWROOMS, TANGS, HARVEY NORMAN AND TAKASHIMAYA B1.
Mixing up the Nordic look with an industrial feel is all the rage right now and, if you’re looking for some inspiration, you can browse through the new Dwell Acacia collection by home-grown brand Born In Colour. Pieces in the range were made of natural red Acacia wood and brushed steel, accented with gold finishes and linear forms. The rich patina and intricate grain details give the furniture appointments (comprising of TV consoles, beds, to sideboards and study desks) a refined yet rustic look. Their modest proportions also mean homeowners will have no problem fitting them into the living or bedroom spaces.

At this year’s Milan furniture fair, Ana Caufman – co-founder and chief curator of furniture brand Maison Numen – met young international designers for a sharing session. The gathering inspired Ana to collaborate with some of them – one such designer is ceramic artist Ahryun Lee, who studied ceramics in South Korea and the UK. With a collection newly launched this month, they worked to design vases in striking colours and intriguing textures. The unique designs were created using integrating technical skills and experimenting with natural materials, ensuring that every piece is one of a kind.
MAISON NUMEN’S VASES ARE AVAILABLE IN COLOURS LIKE CORAL, YELLOW AND GREEN. FIND OUT MORE AT WWW.MAISONNUMEN.COM.
