We’ve all heard of hybrid work arrangements by now – but what about a hybrid shopping experience? If you’re shopping for surfaces during your home renovation process, you can now look forward to an enhanced browsing experience at the new Formica Singapore showroom located at Armenian Street.
Part living space, part gallery, the showroom was designed to not only showcase Formica’s offerings but also help customers envision their use in the home. One of the digital experiences available is a Room Visualiser, which enables visitors to render their preferred colours in pre-set scenes so they can easily picture how their choice of material and shade can come together in a residential setting.
The showroom itself is something of an interactive art exhibit, which encourages visitors to get up close and personal with the materials. This, naturally, is the perfect setting for Formica to showcase their three newly-launched ranges: FENIX, DecoMetal SRM, and INCANTO.
These are demonstrated vis-à-vis real-world applications, like a dining table constructed with FENIX. The smart material is fingerprint-resistant and can heal superficial micro-scratches, making it a good choice for families with young children. As a nod to the need for versatility in our homes during the pandemic, the table surface can also be raised at certain points to form a little alcove that affords privacy while working or studying.

Homeowners and designers looking to set their home apart from the rest will be intrigued by DecoMetal SRM (an abbrievation for Scratch-Resistant Matt), which promises high scratch resistance and built-in lightfastness for durability. Made for high-traffic spaces in both residential and commercial settings, its ultra-matt surface sets it a notch above the rest when it comes to understated luxury.
You’ll also get to experience INCANTO, a range of high-pressure laminates inspired by the beauty of Italy’s natural elements. A range of 25 textured options is available, including woods, stones, and patterns.
The showroom itself is a conducive place to hold discussions between designer and client, with multiple tables available for use and plenty of inspiration at every turn. And if you need guidance, Formica’s sales experts are on hand to help as well.
