This 1,339 sq ft (124 sqm) five-room HDB resale flat in Choa Chu Kang has a dedicated space for everything!
Designed by interior designer Jason Quek from DB Studio, this apartment takes on a chic, modern yet country-inspired look.
The homeowner’s main priority when designing the home was keeping the space bright, airy, cosy and with plenty of storage space.
Part of the wall at the front of the home was replaced with ventilation blocks, which the designer used to ensure privacy in the living room, while allowing air flow throughout the interiors.
Grey-blue colour palette
A grey-blue hue was her colour of choice for most parts of the home. This shade is used from the dining area, to the kitchen and bedroom too.
Folding glass windows extend over the kitchen counter. When left opened, the counter can be used as a bar area.
And when the homeowner chooses to do heavy cooking, it can be closed up to reduce smoke and smell from entering other parts of the home.

Country style kitchen cabinets
In the kitchen, the designer chose shaker-style cabinets with customised brass handles — an iconic feature for any country-inspired home.

Concealed cabinets
For the living room, the homeowner wanted to keep it looking free of clutter with minimal furnishings.
Instead, everything was concealed in cabinets along the windows.
