The homeowners – a couple and their two daughters – of this HDB BTO in Punggol wanted a trendy and personalised look for their home, so interior firm Starry Homestead proposed an industrial-style design that includes several display shelves and niches.
This way, the family can fill the space with travel knick-knacks and other prized possessions.
Renovation Cost: $26,000
The raw and edgy look was achieved without any major hackings or built-ins, and with a total renovation cost of $26,000.
The home features the industrial style’s quintessential grey and black palette, as well as concrete screed walls.

White Brick Wallpaper
Instead of tearing down the living room wall to reveal the bricks underneath, the homeowners opted for a white, brick-look wallcovering –a clever cost-saving idea!
The pop of white brightened the space considerably, too.

Warehouse Inspired Interiors
Other elements that bring out the warehouse-inspired look are wood-look finishes for the cabinetry (a patch work-like design was chosen) and black steel window and door frames, which match the track lights.
To complete the look, the homeowners chose furniture and accessories like a wooden dining table with metal pipe legs, as well as concrete stools.
