Home to a bachelor, this four-room HDB apartment in Serangoon North has lots of interesting details, eye-catching features and textural finishes.
Working with interior design firm Fineline, the homeowner wanted the home to incorporate lots of space for entertaining. To make his guests feel right at home, he chose to open up the communal areas to create a spacious open-plan layout.
Prints & Patterns
Heavy on patterns and textures, the homeowner and interior designer expertly put together a mélange of parquet, tiles, plaids, bricks, and prints in the living room.

Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen counter extends out to accommodate a dining table too; both spaces sit next to the living room so it is easy for the homeowner to interact with guests even during meal preparations or when cooking.

Lots of textural details draw the eye in, such as small square tiles above the kitchen sink, and black mosaic tiles on the backsplash that glow when light shines against them.
