The love for Korean stars are heating up all around the world, thanks to their addictive pop hits and TV series. But have you ever wondered how these stars live in reality?
Find out where Korean stars like Jungkook, Soyeon, Sandara Park, Hwasa, Kai, Jennie, Rose and others prefer to spend their time when they are not in the spotlight.
We trawl through some of their Instagram accounts to take a closer peep into their homes.
BTS Lives in Hannam-Dong, The Hill
The Bangtan boys (BTS) have done well for themselves ever since exploding onto the world stage in 2010. We’ve all heard about Korean pop stars being made to live in squeezy spaces while they are in training to become pop idols, but group home for Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook is a luxury apartment located in the ultra-exclusive Hannam-dong, The Hill district.
During the pandemic, while being forced to stay in, the boyband filmed the music video for their lead single Life Goes On within their apartment.
It was directed by Jeon Jungkook himself, and features the members in their casual homewear. The group lounges around a large tan leather sofa, while in the background we can see a variety of collectibles on minimalist shelves and plenty of green plants.
There’s also a vinyl player and lots of magazines. We love the large ficus plants and the fact that there’s plenty of natural light in the living area.
Blackpink Jennie’s Home
When it comes to female Korean celebs, Blackpink is the current reigning girl band.
Here, we see Jennie’s Instagram shots of herself in her home. There’s a lot of her personality injected into the space, from the Seletti mirror to the colourful design elements as well as the iconic Roche Bobois sofa.
There’s a sense of playfulness and whimsy plus a dose of style all combined together. We’re just wondering if she also happens to have a Blackpink poster hanging on the wall.

Blackpink Rose’s Home
In contrast to Jennie’s colourful space, Blackpink’s Rose prefers more subdued colours and Scandinavian style. There are several large beanbags in the room in earthy tones, as well as a chic coffee table.
We’re getting lots of laid-back charm in her pad, very different from the high-spirited persona she exudes in their performances. We see the same Seletti mirror in her shots as well, hmm, could it be a gift from the brand to the girls?

(G)I-dle Soyeon’s Home
(G)I-dle’s Soyeon loves her pink accessories, and we see the colour pop up in her home as well. She also has a penchant for organic shapes with sinuous curves in her furnishing. Quirky but still elegant and tasteful.

Bae Suzy’s Home
Korean singer and actress Bae Suzy surrounds herself with plenty of colour when she’s home. Her love for floral arrangements can also be seen, from the blooms in her Fritz Hansen vases to her choice of artwork.
There’s something very grown-up about her space, and reflects her stature as an elegant female performer with contemporary style and sophistication.
G-Dragon’s Home
The Big Bang star is so iconic that he has created a unique style of his own. In his multi-million dollar apartment, we see a plethora of accessories that showcase just how wide and varied his taste is.
A well-known art collector, he also has a rather impressive collection of works from contemporary artists like Alexander Calder and Richard Prince.
Among his furnishing we spy Jean Prouve chairs and pieces by Ron Arad and Charlotte Perriand and Jean Royere. If you look closely, you’ll also glimpse some Hermes cushions in the mix. He sure knows his designers and brands.

EXO Kai’s Home
Singer, actor, model, and dancer Kim Jong-in (more commonly known as ‘Kai’) from pop group EXO shared a peek into his home on Korean programme I Live Alone.
As the name of the show suggests, Kai’s bachelor pad is just as enigmatic as the man himself. The white walls of his luxury apartment conceal hidden shelves and walkways, creating a maze-like effect among the spaces.
There’s a huge sofa (Edra On the Rocks by Francesco Binfaré) laid out in a zig-zag pattern taking centerstage in his living room, resembling an island rising up from the wavy veins of his wood flooring.
The walls are laid intentionally bare, with simple downlights shining down from the ceiling. The emptiness further accentuates the spaciousness of his pad.

Kang Daniel’s Home
If there’s anyone we feel we’re most similar to in terms of the look of our home, it’s got to be solo act Kang Daniel. In I Live Alone, he spent time hanging out with his cats in a roomy living space filled with plenty of cat toys and an L-shaped sofa.
Full-length glass doors allow for sunlight to stream into his home, making it feel bright and airy. It looks simple, casual and absolutely inviting.
Mamamoo Hwasa’s Home
Away from the cameras Hwasa likes to spend time in her new apartment.
The walls are clad in large format marble-patterned tiles, with a predominantly cream colour scheme complementing her choice of Scandi-chic furniture.
Beneath the apparent casual-ness of the interior there’s also a hint of mystery and shyness to the character of the space – a reflection of her own nature perhaps?

2NE1 Sandara Park’s Home
Maximalism runs across Sandara Park’s home as we can see. She clearly loves the over-the-top feel of filling her home with everything she loves.
This includes her Bearbrick collection as well as her sneaker wall and extensive open-style wardrobe.
You can definitely tell from the graphic scrawls on her sofa that this home belongs to a hip-hopper and trendy plus energetic owner. We love the eclectic style and bright colours in this abode.
