Despite its size – this four-storey home spans 4,000 sq ft (371 sqm) and has an elevator – this contemporary abode oozes warmth and comfort. It belongs to a family of four, who engaged The Orange Cube design director Chris Koh for the third time.
Modern Contemporary Interiors
Quintessential to the modern contemporary look are linear designs and motifs, through the use of a privacy divider between living and dining rooms, as well as storage spaces with angular designs.
Polished Contemporary Style
“The family has always liked the modern contemporary style, but this time, I gave them a more polished look,” she says.
Living Room
This was achieved through the materials Chris used, such as full-length tinted mirrors in the living room – which was paired with sheer black curtains and a low white sofa – and a glass encased elevator.
Classical Style Elements
There are also elements of classical-inspired accessories that lend grandeur to the space. The dining area features a glass chandelier and velvet high back dining chairs.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom wall is cladded in a cream paisley wallcovering. Chris also created an inviting environment with plenty of ambient lighting, be it in display cases or those mounted on the staircase.
