Designed by renowned local architecture firm Woha, the design of the Nest House is inspired by a nest (of bark, branches and twigs) — as the name suggests.
The textured screens that’s made of timber and aluminium create an abstract feature on the facade, while filtering natural light and ventilation that enters the house.
Bathtub
From within, the structure also creates a visual effect. The clever design embraces the tropical climate in Singapore, too.

Natural Materials
Natural materials such as wood, marble and gravels are added in the bathroom to create a resort-like, cosy ambience, that does not look overbearing.

Outdoor Shower
There’s even an outdoor shower; the use of wood in these spaces allows the home to weather gracefully as the patina of the natural materials change.

Staircase
The staircase leading to the higher floors in the house is designed to embody extremely sleek and seamless aesthetics, as the stair treads sit between two structural walls, and appear to float in mid-air.

A Safety Barrier
The lattices also doubles as safety barrier for the windows and attic terrace.
