This double-storey terrace house off Braddell Road is consciously restrained in its colour choices.
“The client’s brief was to create a home for their lifestyle. They also wanted a traditional (white) English look with a modern rustic edge – yet not too raw that it loses its elegance,” says interior designer Vincent Ang, from Black N White House interior design firm.

Grand piano in living room
The furnishings in the living area are mostly contemporary and clean-lined, keeping the ambience light and modern.
Simple kitchen design
As the homeowners are both busy professionals and seldom cook, they opted for an open-concept kitchen.
Study table
The stark white cabinetry in the master bedroom’s study corner is offset by the wood furnishings.
Pitched roof design
The lofty pitched roof was a bonus find when two rooms were hacked and combined into one.
Using the vertical elevation to great advantage, interior designer Vincent incorporated exposed metal beams, inspired by rustic barns.
