This 1,100 sq ft (102 sqm) 4-room HDB flat in Punggol, home to a couple and their child, was designed by Geo from Space Define Interior in a cottage theme, combined with elements inspired by the beach.
The pretty mosaic design draws eyes to the island worktop when looking at the open-concept kitchen from the living room. A false ceiling finished in wood laminates hides the cove lights.
False Ceiling Laminate
The same wood laminates used for the false ceiling are used for the feature wall that conceals the bomb shelter.
Homogenous Tiles
The living room floor is clad in homogenous tiles in beach sand colour. The colour palette of azure blues and light sand of the furnishings reflect the beach-inspired look of the home.
Common Bathroom
The common bathroom walls are in wood-look tiles that cohere with the cottage theme.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom was merged with another bedroom, such that the master bedroom now has a small living area where the sofa is. The platform bed was custom-made and all bedroom doors feature the same light wood barn door design.
Walk-In Wardrobe
The ‘living area’ of the master bedroom serves as a study and also a spacious walk-in wardrobe.
Master Bathroom
The master bathroom uses two tile designs for its walls, with the wood grain tile used to demarcate the wet shower area from the dry area.
