The homeowners of this four-room HDB BTO home in Sengkang wanted a Scandinavian-inspired design concept in their home. At the same time, the couple also loves pastel hues and wanted a welcoming ambience in the space.
Renovation Cost: $45,000
With a budget of $45,000, they worked with Ju Design to create this spacious living and dining area.
They chose furniture, such as the sofa and dining table from Mulamu, in earthy and neutral hues, and decided on vibrant colours for the walls as standout features.
Shoe Cabinet Carpentry
A wall-mounted shoe cabinet is designed with display space at the bottom, which also creates the illusion of a floating fixture.
White and Wood Kitchen
A white and wood colour palette is chosen for the kitchen, to create a bright and airy look here.
Wood Backsplash
The wood-look backsplash, as well as the outlines along the under-counter cabinet doors, adds to the linear design.
Master Bedroom
Another room was combined with the master bedroom to achieve this spacious area, which can also house the walk-in wardrobe.
Powder Blue Walls
A similar shade of powder blue — also used in the dining area — was chosen for the wardrobe doors to add a splash of colour.
Master Bathroom
The master bathroom contrasts with its monochromatic palette, complete with the textural effect from white subway tiles.
