Luxurious, warm and visually spacious, were three main considerations in the design brief of this three-bedroom condominium in Anchorvale, Sengkang. Home to a couple working in public service, the 957 sq ft (89 sqm) home was designed by Earth Interior Design with a slew of simple yet effective design strategies to achieve all three.
“The interior space is very small so the design intent is to create a seamless, clean look with a serene ambient imbued with a touch of luxury,” says Aloysius Ong, Earth Interior Design’s creative director. The employed design strategies included mirrored surfaces, ‘floating’ furniture, and clean-cut and seamless cabinetry.

Built In Shoe Cabinet
The sleek and clean-cut shoe cabinet features open niches with stone-finish accents and subtle lighting that takes the luxe factor up a notch.
Furniture with Tapered Legs
The furniture pieces, like the sofa and ottoman, feature tapered legs that lend a touch of lightness to the room.
Dining Area
The centrepiece of the living-dining space is the contemporary chandelier which features eye-catching metallic chains illuminated with fine LED strips.
Living Room Ottoman
Instead of a coffee table, the snug living room is furnished with an ottoman, which adds a soft touch and can serve both as a surface for trays and a place to rest one’s feet.
Master Bedroom
The slim headboard in the master bedroom is embedded to the wall to create a clean-cut look. The existing wardrobe was removed and replaced with a glass wardrobe with storage island that expand its capacity.
